iPod Click Wheel Recomps
iPod Classic iPod Click Wheel Recomps running on PC through recompiled. Free and complete.
How this port works
This is a static recompilation: tooling mechanically translates the original console binary into PC code rather than rewriting the game by hand. The result runs natively, typically with an uncapped framerate and widescreen.

How to install
- 01There are six games here, each in its own folder, and each one needs its own decrypted game files, taken from your own copy. Nothing of the games ships in the repository.
- 02Each game has its numbered folder on the iPod, and that is the folder you point at: 88888 for Mini Golf, 99999 for Cubis 2, 33333 for Hold-Em, 1B200 for Lost, 1500C for Sims Bowling and 12345 for Vortex.
- 03On macOS, Linux and Windows the first launch asks for the game folder. The program then checks every file against the sizes and checksums it shipped with, and keeps it beside your saves from then on.
- 04On the Switch and on Android there is no file browser to ask you, so the game folder has to be in place before the first launch. Each build tells you on screen where that is.
- 05Mini Golf is the furthest along: it is the only one with no machine-translated code left in it and the only one that runs on a Switch or on Android.
- 06On Linux and the Switch there is no settings window, because that one is native to each system; and background music does not play on those two, because the .m4a tracks need a decoder that macOS, Windows and Android each have and those do not.
- 07The games expected a click wheel. The recomps map that to what your machine does have — arrow keys, a gamepad stick or a d-pad — and on macOS and Windows the keys can be rebound.
- 08Each game folder has its own README, with how to build it, what is still recompiled rather than rewritten, and how to run it.
These projects ship no game data. Supply your own copy.
