Panzer Dragoon Saga

Panzer Dragoon Saga (Sega Saturn) on PC: a work-in-progress project by yaz0r. Requires your own copy of the game. Requirements and install steps.

How this port works

The project is still under way. Decompilation is long, manual work that rebuilds the game's source from its binary, and it can take years before a playable port exists.

Frequently asked

Do I need the original game to play Panzer Dragoon Saga on PC?

Yes. The project distributes no game data — you supply your own copy or dump. Every project in this scene works this way, and it is what lets them stay publicly hosted on GitHub.

What does "in progress" mean?

The project is still under way. Decompilation is long, manual work that rebuilds the game's source from its binary, and it can take years before a playable port exists.

Will Panzer Dragoon Saga run on a low-end PC?

There is no playable build yet, so no performance measurement exists. Watch the repository.

Which systems does it support?

No release has been published, so there is nothing to say which systems it runs on. The game originally shipped on Sega Saturn.

Is it legal to use?

The project is public and open source, maintained by yaz0r, and contains nothing from the commercial game. Responsibility for the game copy you use is yours — which is why the developers require you to supply your own.
