Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3

Arcade Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 running on PC through in progress. Free and complete.

How this port works

The project is still under way. Decompilation is long, manual work that rebuilds the game's source from its binary, and it can take years before a playable port exists.

Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 (iOS, EA Mobile 2011), fully decompiled: all 2,572 game functions are readable C, checked against a static ARM-to-C recompiler. Native port in progress: menus, sound and saves run; fight data tables extracted from your copy and verified; not playable yet. No game assets - bring your own copy.

How to install

  1. 01This project works from the iOS release of Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3, version 1.2.59, and produces a native executable. You need your own .ipa of that exact version — no game binary or data is distributed.
  2. 02The simplest route on Windows and Linux is the project's launcher: it takes your .ipa, downloads the compiler the project pins, extracts the data and builds the game. No compiler needs to be installed.
  3. 03If you prefer the command line, put the .ipa in the project root and run the Python build script with the file's path. It validates the .ipa, extracts the data tables and prepares a ready-to-play folder.
  4. 04The .ipa version is checked. A file from another version is refused at validation, so verify that before blaming the build.
  5. 05The native port is playable in alpha, with its own OpenGL renderer, aspect ratios from 4:3 to 21:9, keyboard and gamepad, local two-player and networked multiplayer.
  6. 06The decompilation itself is complete and verified against an automated oracle, which is not the same as the game being complete — read the release notes before filing a problem.

These projects ship no game data. Supply your own copy.
